Glasgow Clan sponsored Aspray Glasgow West are still on the hunt for their first win of the season after returning from Manchester empty handed.

The Storm quickly took the lead in the game through Cameron Critchlow who lingered in the crease before receiving the pass from Jesper Ohrvall, setting him up for a first-time finish.

The Clan created multiple chances throughout the first through Peacock and LaPorte but couldn’t find their way past Storm goalie Hayden Lavigne in the opening 20.

In the second period, Storm doubled their lead through Kevin Ekman- Larsson who received the puck off the back of a face off win and wasted no time slapping it high past Ty Taylor.

After a four-man fight broke out on the ice, Manchester gained a four-on-three powerplay which they used to gain their third goal of the game through Ohrvall sniping it high into the net.

Clan were handed a powerplay with under 5 minutes to go in the second when Nolan LaPorte received the puck at the blue line and instantly rifled a slapshot past Lavigne to put the Clan back within two.

The chaos didn’t calm at all in the third as Ryan Barrow was awarded a penalty shot for the Storm just five minutes into the period after he was tripped in front of net, delivering for his side as he restored their three-goal lead.

LaPorte once again stepped forward for Glasgow on the powerplay as he burst into the crease amid a scramble at the Storm net to slot the puck high into the net to claim his second goal of the game.

It was then Gergely Toth who got himself on the score sheet, once again on the powerplay, receiving the puck from Dunbar on the right side and wristed a shot before Lavigne had time to react.

The Storm responded quickly to the Clan’s third though as they found their way back to a two-goal advantage through Cole Carter who got one-on-one with Taylor before placing the puck into the net.

Manchester signed off the game with an empty net finish from Dallas Ehrhardt after Taylor moved to the bench for the extra attacker for the Clan.
