LaPorte joins the Clan for 2019/20


The Glasgow Clan are delighted to announce the signing of 27-year-old American forward Nolan Laporte for the 2019/20 season.

Nolan joins from the ECHL's Atlanta Gladiators, and has previously iced for the Quad City Mallards and Florida Everblades following four successful years in NCAA Division 1 with Western Michigan University.

The Chicago native, recorded 93 points in 139 ECHL games, scoring 37 times and assisting on 56 occasions.

Clan Head Coach Zack Fitzgerald is delighted to secure the signature of 5' 11" forward:

"Nolan LaPorte is a player who plays with an edge, with great skill to top it off." confirmed Fitzgerald.

"He goes to the grimey area's of the ice and creates chances. He will work very hard for our team.

"I believe that Nolan will thrive in the EIHL. He gives us a good boost on the right side, has put up good numbers in his previous season's and this will be a great opportunity for his first season abroad.

"We are pleased to have Nolan join the Clan for 2019/20."

Nolan will wear #37 during the upcoming season.

Nolan becomes the Clan's fifteenth player for 2019/20, following confirmation that Patrick Killeen, Matt Pufahl, Matt Beca, Rasmus Bjerrum, Jack Musil, Craig Peacock, Scott Pitt, Scott Tanski, Craig Moore, Linden Springer, Jordan Heywood, Jordan McLaughlin, Mikael Lidhammar and Matt Stanisz having already put pen to paper.
