Flames retain Joshua Waller

Joshua Waller will re-join the Flames line-up for a 3rd term when the new season gets underway. The 21-year-old former Great Britain Under 18 and 20 skater recorded 4 goals and 9 points across 56 starts last season. In 125 Flames Appearances, the 5’10”, 160lb native of Reading has 6 goals and 13 assists and was on hand for the Flames Patton Conference trophy during the 2018-2019 campaign.

“I am happy to be back for my third term in Guildford and eager to improve my performances on and off the ice,” said Waller. “I’ve enjoyed my time with the Flames organisation and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish this upcoming season.”

Between Under 18 and 20 representations in country colours, Waller has 15 caps over 3 tournaments.

“Joshua moved his way into more ice time last season and his natural physical development was definitely more noticeable in terms of how he is now able to fare head to head against older, stronger players,” said Head Coach Paul Dixon.

“He can skate, and he is skilled, so hopefully his continued physical progress will move him to yet another level within our forward group.”

“We are pleased to see him return and we are looking forward to watching his progression.”
