Scorchers squad for Hurricanes game

The Perth Scorchers have named their 13-player squad for season-defining matches against the Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers at North Sydney Oval on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

In a massive boost for the Scorchers’ finals hopes, Skipper Sophie Devine returns to the squad after missing the midweek matches due to a lower back injury.

Despite coming off two close losses, Perth are in control of their own destiny and can guarantee finals action with two wins this weekend.

It will be the first time the Scorchers have had an opportunity for victory over the Canes and Strikers, with both matches earlier in the campaign abandoned due to inclement weather.

English import Sarah Glenn has been in destructive form with the ball and now has 12 wickets for the tournament.

The leg spinner has regularly opened the bowling in WBBL|06 and struck twice with the new ball in the first over of the innings against the Brisbane Heat in her last match.
