Amanda Derbyshire (GBR) and Oasis Spirit dominated Wednesday’s $37,000 EquiSafe Global Power & Speed Stake CSI 3*, stopping the speed phase timers in 26.25 seconds. Just behind, David O’Brien (IRL) and Maldonado SCF, the 2012 Belgian Warmblood gelding (Diktator van de Boslandhoeve x Landino) owned by Spy Coast Farm LLC, cleared the speed phase in 26.538 seconds for second, while Karen Polle (JPN) and Jet Run, her own 2010 Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Robin Z), collected third on a time of 26.928 seconds.

Derbyshire and her own 2010 Irish Sport Horse mare (Cobra x Lux Z) were one of 50 trips to challenge the power phase of the Michel Vaillancourt (CAN) course, with 32 horse-and-rider pairs proceeding to the speed portion.
