Gloucester's Sebastian Nagle- Taylor becomes a Pirate

The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that Number 8 Sebastian Nagle-Taylor has signed a one-year contract with the club.

Hampshire-born Seb, aged 28, who joins from Gloucester Rugby, is an experienced performer. He has appeared for several Championship clubs in the past, the most recent being Hartpury from where he was initially loaned to the ‘Cherry & Whites’ from Gloucester Rugby in2020/21 before signing for them for the 2021/22 season.

Honours achieved include playing for the England Counties under 20s, England Students, and the England Sevens team.

Delighted to have captured Seb’s signature, Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach Alan Paver has commented: “We have known about Seb for a long time now, including when he was with Rotherham Titans as an aspiring young man who was keen to climb the rugby ladder.
“He is an extremely good athlete, with the point of difference being ball in hand. Very explosive, similar to Phil Burgess and Sam Simmonds, I think he is going to bring balance to our forward pack. Yes, we have got to be pragmatic, but at the same time we need very dynamic guys.”

Alan added: “Seb has also held leadership roles with clubs he has played for, and from our perspective we are just very excited to welcome him into our fold.”
