Washington, UCO, Bates Top Week Three


The University of Washington, University of Central Oklahoma and Bates College topped this week’s USRowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division I, II and III Weekly Polls presented by Pocock Racing Shells.

Washington moved into first place in the Division I women’s poll by just three points, with the University of California dropping into second place. Stanford University placed third, giving the Pac-12 Conference the top three teams in this week’s rankings. The University of Texas ranked fourth, followed by Princeton University in fifth.

The UCO Bronchos remained atop the Division II women’s poll, earning all five first-place votes. Florida Institute of Technology ranked second, with the University of California, San Diego moving into third position. Western Washington University ranked fourth, with Humboldt State University and Seattle Pacific University sitting in a tie for fifth.

Bates College once again received all 10 first-place votes in the Division III women’s poll, earning the top spot. Williams College, WPI and Ithaca College ranked second, third and fourth, respectively, with Wesleyan University taking the fifth sport for themselves, after breaking a tie with Smith College this week.
