Trio sign two-way deals with Clan

The Glasgow Clan, sponsored by Aspray Glasgow West, are delighted to announce the signing of three players on two-way deals.

Solway Sharks trio Liam Stenton, Scott Henderson and Callum Boyd will all be involved with the club during 2021/22 and will add further options for head coach Malcolm Cameron.

All three players have turned out for the Clan in the past so they will be familiar to the Purple Army.

Stenton proved to be a popular player in his ten appearances for the club in 2019/20, showcasing his talents on the blue line.

He played for Nottingham Panthers in the Elite Series earlier in the year and was part of the winning team that went on to win the competition.

Scott Henderson also returns after his seven games for the team under Zack Fitzgerald in 2019/20 where his energy and enthusiasm impressed.

The final player is Callum Boyd, who looks set to return in Clan colours after previously playing under Ryan Finnerty in season 2016/17.

Since leaving the Clan, he returned to Edinburgh Capitals then joined Murrayfield Racers in 2018 where he helped them win the SNL title and the NIHL North Cup, with Boyd scoring the winner.

The agreements are a continuation of the partnership with Solway Sharks and Clan’s Chief Operating Officer Gareth Chalmers is pleased to see three players return.

“We’ve had great relations with the Sharks for a good few years now and I’m delighted we were able to add three further players to our roster on two-way deals,” he said.

“Liam and Scott were excellent when they featured for us during 2019/20 and showed the talent they have so I’m sure the fans will be pleased to see them back.

“Callum was a popular player in his season here previously, with the experience he has, it was a no-brainer to be able to sign him on a two-way deal and we’re glad to have him again.

“I want to extend my thanks to Martin Grubb and everyone at Solway Sharks for their continued support and partnership.”
